Hi Mike. Liked your discussion on 1949. I chose that one to read first because that was the year I was born also, in October. You know I sit and wonder how we can have instant, and push button everything and have no time in our lives. I pondered on this for a long time. I think we are so busy looking for fun things to do, that there is never enough time to do all the things that we need to do. Especially the important things like getting to know our neighbors and helping them when they need it, and spending quality time with our families, and our God. I guess at almost 5 -0 the brain finally sorts out what's really important in life, and starts reflecting. Kinda crazy isn't it, that it takes us so many years to realize what life is really all about? I like your site and will be doing more reading of your written word.
Seems like the times were simpler, when fun was riding up and down main street, showing off my car, and drag racing. Never had to think and wonder what to do tonight to have fun. In fact when the fair came to town it really threw a kink in out activities.
