Whether you've come to have fun (most of us are here at least partly to play), to just get away, to discover and reaffirm your identity and passion in life, to recover from a loss, or to work through a midlife crisis; I'm glad you're here.  So put on some grubbies, take your shoes off, and stroll leisurely through the grounds. You'll meet some of my old friends here and my new ones. There's plenty of opportunity to visit with them and me, so come on in and look around. And be sure to sign the guest registry. Thank you so much for a great support site. I'm 43, have been all alone in the world since age 16, was a single parent and raised 2 kids into nice young adults, have reached the top of my profession, and had a very hard time accepting my age, the empty nest, the career plateau. On April 30, I sent in another mail (midlife when) with 14 of the points which made me realize I am in a midlife 'crisis', though I prefer to call it a renewed period of creativity. Never thought this thing could hit a woman, let alone me! Acceptance is the first step in anything I guess. I'm going through some turbulent emotions right now and this isn't the easiest thing to do, but I've already made plans for building a new life for myself. I picked up the guitar again, which I played in my teens, it's a great outlet. Next, I want to go for a career change. I feel liberated just from recognizing what is going on with me, and excited at the prospect of building a new life.

Just for me this time.

Thanks for your site. I've enjoyed going through the different areas. There is so much commen sense and the heart is behind it. Then I read your July column and saw you were a Christian. While I was reading one section earlier, I said to myself, there's such an anointing on what he's saying I bet he's a Christian.
